The Lipid Testing System is intended for the quantitative determination of Total Cholesterol (TC), High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (HDL), Triglycerides (TG), and the calculated ratio of TC/HDL and Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (LDL) in capillary and venous human whole blood, plasma, and serum. The easy to operate system consists of a portable meter that analyzes the intensity and color of light reflected from the reagent area of a test device, ensuring quick and accurate results.There are two models available: LP-101 and LP-102.
The Lipid Testing System provides results in less than 2 minutes. The meter can store up to 200 results and records can be transferred to a computer for further analysis using the USB port. For Model LP-102, The records can also be transferred to a mobile terminal by bluetooth. For The meter can be operated by 3 AAA (1.5V) batteries.
To ensure accurate results:
-
Read instructions carefully and complete any necessary training before use
-
Use the code chip that is included in each box of test devices.
-
Only use the Lipid Test Devices with the Lipid Meter.
-
For in vitro diagnostic use only.
-
Sample type: Fresh capillary blood, heparinized or EDTA venous whole blood, serum and heparinized plasma can be tested.
-
Please test within the expired date of all components.
Principle of measurement
The analyzer applies the principle of photochemistry and is used with blood lipid test strips (LPS-101 TCS-101 TGS-101 HLS-101) .The whole blood sample to be tested is added into the sample area of the strip. In the process of rapid infiltration, blood cells are filtered out or dissolved. The substrate reacts with enzymes and chemicals in the reaction layer and lead to the color change, then the color intensity is proportional to the concentration of the substance.
The analyzer tests the color intensity of the reaction end point at the wavelength of 620nm, the substance concentration is calculated by the reflection coefficient. When the test strip is LPS-101,with the following formula the concentration of low density lipoprotein cholesterol in (LDL) is calculated, the ratio of TC and HDL can also be calculated.
LDL=TC-HDL-TG/5 (mg/dL)
or
LDL=TC-HDL-TG/2.2 (mmol/L)
